"துயர்ப்படத் தகாதார் பொருட்டுத் துயர்ப்படுகின்றாய்! ஞான வுரைகளு முரைக்கின்றாய்! இறந்தார்க் கேனும் இருந்தார்க் கேனுந் துயர் கொளார் அறிஞர்."
śhrī bhagavān uvācha aśhochyān-anvaśhochas-tvaṁ prajñā-vādānśh cha bhāṣhase gatāsūn-agatāsūnśh-cha nānuśhochanti paṇḍitāḥ
The Blessed Lord said, "You have grieved for those who should not be grieved for; yet, you speak words of wisdom. The wise grieve neither for the living nor for the dead."
